Story Behind AKs Training Academy
Before AK’s, both of us were busy working for the corporate sector. We were happy working in the corporate sector, but at the same time, we were looking for some opportunity which can give us a real sense of achievement using our skills.
I had taken up a visiting faculty profile with a leading college in Pune. In the tenure of 3 years there, I enjoyed teaching subjects like finance, accounts & business mathematics. Around the same time, ACCA was making its way in the Indian markets & I got an opportunity to get trained as an ACCA tutor. I was part of the team which taught the 1st batch of ACCA students at this college. Along with my knowledge of CA & CPA I was really impressed with the way ACCA had devised its curriculum and immediately adapted to the ACCA way of teaching. Within no time I was one of the finest faculty teaching ACCA at the college. However, I got an opportunity to work with a start-up and I decided to take that up as a challenge. But within months of working there, I realised that my passion was teaching!
Krishita shared the idea of starting an Institute for ACCA with me. I was already missing days of teaching and agreed to give it a try. ACCA was new in the market & we both decided to take the plunge. We still had doubts about the course & whether it was at par with CA. Since the course was new in India there wasn’t much to prove whether students will get good jobs, will the course provide job opportunities abroad, and will they ever get the same status as that of a CA at least in India.
Soon both of us realized that our ethos, mission, and vision were the same. Both wanted to provide students with the best quality coaching. Both were fully committed to the goal that no student goes home without understanding the concept.
Complete understanding & conceptual clarity was the only way to crack the ACCA exams successfully. Further, it is only this understanding which will help us to do better at our jobs.
I and Krishita got into a partnership & formed AK’s Training Academy in June 2018. We started with a total of 5 students and now are proud to say that we have coached more than 300 students over the years. There have been many proud moments in our journey be it our students securing India & world ranks, students coming & narrating their job interview experiences where they were to explain concepts very well as they were taught so well! In todays era, AK’s Training Academy is the best coaching in Pune. The biggest boost to our confidence was when students started referring other students to join AK’s Training Academy.
As an Institute we got many offers to collaborate & the same could have resulted in our growth multiplying very fast. But we decided to stay committed to our passion of imparting good quality education and did not want this to get compromised at any costs.
When we look back today it seems a pleasurable journey with both getting established as fine tutors of their respective subjects with so much support & love from all our students.
